My father in law is planning to purchase a home for my husband and I. We are absolutely thrilled, and started looking at listings. We found a house we wanted to see and contacted James Kramer at Desert Point Realty to look.
We arrived at the home at the appointment time, only to find that someone else was already looking at the house. We had to hang out outside the house for a half hour before we could look. Even so, we absolutely loved the house.
Unfortunately, on the way home, my father in law began to discuss some steps we need to take with our current home before we can place an offer on a new home. We were disappointed, as we knew the house we just looked at would go quickly.
Mr. Kramer texted us, and the conversation went thusly:
Mr. Kramer: What did you think? Do you like the home enough to make an offer?
Us: We do. We aren’t read to make an offer at this time however. We understand it won’t last long. We’ll let you know when we are ready. Thank you for your help today.
Mr. Kramer: Id like to send you homes for daily updates, is that something your [sic] interested in? I’d appreciate the opportunity to help you and your family find a home.
Us: Perhaps, but not at this time. We will reach out once we need to go further.
Mr. Kramer: Was there an ulterior motive in viewing the home today? I feel like there was no intention in buying a home.
Us: We are very interested in buying a home this year. Please refrain from assuming otherwise.
Mr. Kramer: Ill try loll, good luck. Very strange still.
Honestly – who does this guy think he is? If you’re looking for a realtor who is all smiles and politeness until something doesn’t go his way, look no further than Desert Point Realty.
James is super nice, very responsive and knowledgable. But he blew it on a MAJOR point. He missed that my roof was twenty years old and thus a huge point of negotiation was missed. This is a novice error and will cost me thousands of dollars. This is something a real estate agent has to pay attention to.
I have worked with James on several deals, he is an great agent, easy to work with and looks out for his clients. As a fellow agent, I will say that is something I do not always see in other agents and this is my first review of a cooperating agent, that is how much I think of James’ performance.
